$325,000 energy cost credit given to Owner!

Oviedo High School

Seminole County Public Schools
Oviedo, Florida

In addition to the new buildings the BE&K Building Group is constructing on the Oviedo High School campus, existing buildings also are being renovated.  A number of sustainable measures are being implemented as these buildings are updated. One example is the installation of white roofing membrane to reflect the sun and prevent heat absorption.  Progress Energy, which supplies power to the campus, took notice of the improvements while performing an energy audit for the campus.  Upon the completion of the audit, Progress Energy granted a credit to Oviedo High School for $325,000!

Scheduled Project Completion: 2009
