400,000 pounds of scrap metal recycled!

University Medical Center

Greenville, South Carolina

The BE&K Building Group’s self-initiated program for recycling metal items, including sheet metal, screws, rebar, scrap metal,  benefited the environment by not overloading local waste sites with construction debris. It also resulted in an unexpected “green” bonus — payment of more than $14,000 from the metal recycler. With the Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center’s blessing, our team utilized this income for subcontractor recognition programs and incentives.
