Our firm is responsible for putting in place — including projects currently under construction — more than $2.0 billion of projects for the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology, nanoscience and emerging technologies. This includes new construction, expansions and renovations.
Specialized Expertise
The BE&K Building Group has an impressive portfolio of projects for the life sciences sector that vary in size and scope. Our facility planning services range from site selection and conceptual layout to process flow and equipment layout, to detailed design and preconstruction planning. Our construction services include equipment installation, commissioning/start-up and validation. Once the facility is in operation, we can also assist with maintenance planning, ongoing construction, retrofits and shutdowns.
We have in-depth understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices and regulatory compliance issues. Capitalizing on industry expertise and previous project experience, we can establish accurate capital budgets. Early involvement in design and scope development enables our technical project team to deliver fast-track and complex projects, and also allows early conversion of target budgets to a guaranteed maximum price.
We have the experience and resources to respond to a wide
range of facility needs, including:
• Laboratories and teaching facilities
• Complex research and
development facilities
• Cleanrooms
• Pilot plants
• Small-scale and full-scale
production facilities
• Bulk chemical facilities
• Support facilities
In addition, we have the capabilities to address biocontainment
initiatives and other security and technology issues.
