Our firm is providing preconstruction and construction services for a 181,000 sf replacement facility — and 8,900 sf central energy plant — for Greer Memorial Hospital, located on the Greenville Hospital System University Medical Center's Greer, South Carolina, campus.
The replacement facility will include an emergency department with 25 treatment/trauma bays; a radiology department that includes two CT scans, two nuclear medicine areas, and two radiology areas; ultrasound and vascular lab studies; a women's center that includes six labor and delivery suites, and one c-section suite; four operating room suites, including one cystoscopy equipped suite, two GI procedure suites, 13 pre-op suites and eight recovery beds; an 82-bed patient tower; and a full-service kitchen and cafeteria. The new central energy plant will serve the hospital and any future campus buildings.
All outpatient diagnostic services will be conveniently located at easy-drop entrances to minimize wait and travel times.
The replacement facility will be constructed of structural steel with brick and glass skin, and a sloped shingle roof to convey a village center effect. The project is scheduled for completion Fall 2007.
