New construction consists of deep foundations (caissons), structural steel framing, normal weight concrete slab on metal deck, precast and curtainwall skin, and a built-up roof over lightweight insulating concrete.

The first floor construction includes mechanical room space, administrative areas, and covered parking accommodating 65 spaces.  The second floor includes eight operating rooms, with 24 prep and recovery rooms and an eight-bed post anesthesia care unit (PACU).  Floors three through eight house patient beds, with 24 private rooms per floor and areas dedicated to oncology, orthopedics, neurology and medical/surgical. The remaining areas of the first three floors provide other support services.
