Our firm served as general
contractor for the new $9.1 million Cherrydale Elementary
School for the School District of Greenville County in
South Carolina. The new school consolidated two existing
schools — Cone Primary and Sans Souci Intermediate
— in one building at the former San Souci site.
The scope of work included construction of a new two-story,
79,000 sf building and the renovation of the existing
6,000 sf gymnasium. Sitework included a playground, sidewalks
and a surface parking area to accommodate 70 vehicles.
In addition to the gym, the first floor houses kindergarten
and first grade classrooms, special education, administration,
guidance counseling, a media center and a cafeteria with
areas for food storage, preparation and serving. Classrooms
for the third, fourth and fifth grades are located on
the second floor. The new school serves approximately
500 students, faculty and staff. |
