Awards
The Tilt-Up Concrete Association gave its National Achievement
Award of Excellence to Ryland Square (originally known
as 225 Seven Farms Drive), a mixed-use complex in downtown
Daniel Island, near Charleston, South Carolina. The West
Parking Deck at the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport
was recognized with the prestigious AIA Award of Honor
from the American Institute of Architects’ North
Carolina Chapter. Hermès of Paris’ high-end
retail store in Vienna, Virginia, won the ABC Eagle Award
for Excellence in Construction (Retail/Interior Only Projects)
from the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc.’s
Metropolitan Washington Chapter.
The Hermès project also won Best Project of the
Year 2006 (Retail) awarded by Mid-Atlantic Construction
magazine.
The Cornerstone office building in downtown Orlando —
a department store to office condominium conversion for
the Kuhn Companies — received the Golden Brick Award
by the Downtown Orlando Partnership.
